The Queen of Rosé Has Landed
A new Provence rosé from Queen strikes a bold new beat.
A new luxe rosé from one of the most iconic names in British music is now available via queenwinesofficial.com and stocked nationwide in-store and online at Waitrose and Sainsbury's. It's a real "rhapsody" of flavour!
Queen Côtes de Provence Rosé has been conceived and led by Roger Taylor, legendary drummer of Queen. Developed in close collaboration with Sony Music, Watermill Wines, Les Caves du Commandeur and Rupert Clevely, the wine reflects Taylor's hands-on involvement in shaping a rosé that prioritises quality, expression and pleasure.
The gorgeous new premium wine captures the essence of sunny Provence, with wild strawberry and ripe red berry aromas. The beautifully balanced texture harmonises ripe, supple fruit with a silky creaminess, giving it a long, full-flavoured finish.
Cuvée Rock 'n' Roll 2025 is a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Cinsault, delivering approachability alongside structure, whilst being vegetarian and vegan friendly. It brings together the heritage of Provence with the creative spirit and uncompromising standards that have defined the legendary rock band for more than five decades.
Significantly, Les Caves du Commandeur is not only the producer, but also a direct investor in the project – a mark of confidence in the wine's quality and long-term potential. Founded in 1913 in Montfort-sur-Argens in the heart of Provence, the cooperative brings together 60 growers, each contributing their finest fruit to what has become a flagship wine for the estate.
The vineyards stretch across 650 hectares and nine surrounding communes, where limestone-clay soils, warm Provençal days and cool nights create the ideal conditions for producing rosé with both freshness and depth.
A genuine collaboration
Central to the project is Roger Taylor's personal involvement, not simply as a figurehead, but as an active contributor to the development of the wine.
Roger Taylor said: "We've always believed in doing things properly, and that was the starting point here. I've spent a lot of time around wine over the years, and I wanted to create something that felt reliable, expressive and genuinely enjoyable in partnership with good friends. It needed to have that sense of joy to it – something that brings people together. This isn't about putting a name on a bottle; it's about creating something with real integrity."
